Garda Lake - Italy

Height over water:
1200 meters
Capacity:
maximum 4 acro tandem flights per day

The region of the Garda Lake is one of the most popular summer holiday destinations in the Alps and offers a great variety of extreme sports: all sort of water sports, hiking, climbing, mountaineering, BASE jumping and of course, paragliding.
From the lovely town of Malcesine there is a cable car that runs up to a spectacular view-point, the peak of Monte Baldo. The huge altitude difference of over 1700 meters makes it one of the best location in the world to train very high over water. For this reason Malcesine hosts plenty of safety trainings during the season. Thanks to the influence of the Mediterranean Sea the climate is a lot friendlier here then in the northern regions of the Alps.

How to get here?:
Malcesine is situated in the east side of the Garda lake, 190 km from Milano, 390 km from München and 490 km from Geneva. The closest airports are in Milano and Bolzano (Bozen).
Where to stay?:
It is recommended to stay in or around Malcsesine. There are plenty of hotels and campings all the way along the shore. Prices start from 20-25 EUR / person / night. The landing place is an artificial field 2 kilometers North of Malcsesine right at the lake-side, it is hard to miss. There is also a camping place and a small hotel right next to it on the other side of the road.
